✚ SWAB-C - Amies Charcoal Transport Swab
Up to 48 hours for transport, due to the addition of activated charcoal that absorbs toxic metabolites (like fatty acids) away from the sample. Ideal for clinically significant samples and can be used to transport most fastidious and non-fastidious microorganisms.
✚ SWAB-M - Amies Medium Transport Swab
Up to 24 hours survival and is ideal for microscopy. Recommended for general clinical swabbing of fastidious, non-fastidious and anaerobic microorganisms, including throat, vaginal and wound samples.
