IMS Euro Ltd Supports Ukraine Through a Significant Donation of Medical Products & Fundraising Activities.

Pallets of Critical Medical Consumables Shipped to Ukraine

IMS Euro Ltd contacted Medical Aid Ukraine North East to work together and contribute to the crisis in Ukraine. With a broad range of medical products available, IMS Euro wanted to donate as much as possible to help those in need who are suffering the aftereffects of the multiple warzones within the country.

James Waistell, a Surveillance Nurse based at the University Hospital of North Durham, worked closely with the Senior Management Team at IMS Euro to advise what products civilians & medical professionals needed the most. IMS Euro promptly put together 8 pallets of medical consumables which consisted of: Cotton Wool, Needles, Syringes, Cohesive Conforming Bandages, Surface Cleaning Wipes, Sutures, Surgical Instruments, Drapes, Face Shields, Sutures and much more.

The eight pallets of medical products were transported to an NHS Trust Warehouse facility in Washington in the City of Sunderland, where The Medial Aid Ukraine Team worked on the logistics of shipping the supplies.

Both teams at IMS Euro & Medical Aid Ukraine North East collaborated incredibly well during the donation, and are proud to have supported families & civilians with medical assistance, who have suffered the devastating consequences of heavy fighting, shelling and airstrikes across the country.

Wearing Yellow & Blue to Show Support

Alongside a significant donation of medical consumables, IMS didn’t stop there. At the Head Offices in Stockport, all the employees participated in a fundraiser by wearing Yellow & Blue to show their support and raise money for those in need in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

Already, over two million people have fled their homes to escape intense conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind loved ones, livelihoods and almost everything they own, they need shelter, food, and water. People are losing their homes and lives, essential services like water and healthcare have been hit and temperatures have dropped below zero.

The teams brought in food, to raise money by asking for donations to take part in the buffet. The IMS family managed to raise a grand total of £720 for the DEC Ukraine Appeal.
