Pharmatull Paraffin Gauze Dressings

Intended Use

Pharmatull® is used as a primary wound contact layer in the treatment of:
✚ Minor burns and scalds
✚ Skin grafts (both donor and receptor sites)
✚ Leg ulcers
✚ Variety of traumatic injuries, e.g. lacerations and abrasions
✚ Skin loss wounds

Contraindications / Precautions:

✚ Do not use in cavity wounds
✚ Do not use in cases where patients have a sensitivity to any of the dressing components
✚ If the dressing is placed upon a heavily exuding wound, its semi-occlusive nature may cause tissue maceration by preventing the free movement of exudates away from the surface of the wound
✚ If Pharmatull® is left in position for prolonged periods of time, it can become adherent and cause tissue damage upon removal

Instructions For Use

1. Open the pouch.
2. Remove the protector(s).
3. Pick up the product using aseptic technique.
4. Place Pharmatull® at the wound site.
5. Cover with a secondary absorbent dressing.
6. Fix the secondary dressing.
7. Change daily or according to the condition of the wound.
