How to Use This Muzzle Sizing Chart
This chart helps you choose the best-fitting muzzle by measuring three key dimensions of the dogs snout:
Length: Measure from the waterline (just below the eyes) to the tip of the nose.
Height: With the dogs mouth closed, measure from the top of the muzzle to the deepest point of the jowl. For pant allowance, add:
- 2.7in for full panting (all sizes except Rex)
- 2.0in for the Rex size only
Back Width: Measure across the widest part of the face, outside of the cheeks.
Each muzzle size on the chart includes a range for all three dimensions. Select the size where your dogs measurements fall comfortably within all three ranges. This ensures a snug, secure fit that allows the dog to pant, eat, and drink while preventing bites.
Note: Sizes marked with an asterisk * are extended-fit versions for dogs with slightly longer measurements in the same facial structure category. These will need a nose band.
