Scale Down Costs,
Polish up Procedures

Dental health doesn't just start and stop at the mouth. For pets, a dental check only plays a small part in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and poor oral hygiene can result in other conditions arising.

Similarly, for veterinary staff, a dental procedure isn't solely a check-up of the teeth and gums. Pet dentistry is a significant component of preventative medicine for pets and is a very important part of overall veterinary health.

Celebrating #PetDentalMonth

A variety of products are required for dental surgery, from anaesthetic products to sterilisation products, not to mention the obvious dental essentials. There's a lot to think about when stocking up for dental treatments, but we're here with a helping hand and most importantly, to provide cost-savings.

Pre-Treatment

Pre-Treatment

When prepping for dental procedures, it's also important to keep employees & patients safe. To prevent infection & provide protection, our range of cost-effective PPE will help you get prepared to perform dental procedures safely. For pets, it's important to keep them calm. Pet Remedy products are blended with essential oils to help calm the nerves of anxious or stressed pets, and are suitable for your clients to use at home, or for you to use in practice.

Our Recommendations:

Preparing the Patient

Dental procedures are routinely carried out under general anaesthetic. To save time, CaptIV gives you a neat and secure dressing to hold catheters and tubing in place. It's an all-in-one alternative to the usual time-consuming approach to IV catheter fixation. In combination with our other cost-effective consumables, such as syringes, needles & tubing, you can guarantee to make efficiencies all-round.

Our Recommendations:

During Dental Procedures

When doing an oral examination, essential instruments will be required alongside a variety of medical consumables. Everything from initial examinations and tooth extractions to a standard scale & polish, IMS has plenty of solutions to keep an animal's dental health in check.

Collaclot: When Bleeding Occurs

Bleeding complications can occur and some patients bleed excessively during or after dental surgery, due to different factors. In these cases, the use of an effective haemostatic agent enhances haemostasis, providing a wide spectrum of benefits, including:

✚ Shorter Recovery Time

✚ Aiding the Reparative Stages

✚ Reduced Operation Times & Anaesthesia Usage

Post-Treatment

Post-Treatment

After anaesthetic use, it's imperative that the patient maintains the correct body temperature to avoid risks of hypothermia. Pet Remedy Heat Pads are a safe and effective post-operative tool that minimise the risk of perioperative hypothermia. If you have used CaptIV or any tape to secure catheters, to remove them easily from patients skin or fur, the IMS Adhesive Remover will make this process stress-free!

Our Recommendations:

Post-Surgery Clean Up

Surfaces used during dental procedures will need to be cleaned and disinfected. Adequate cleaning will need to be done between patients and at the end of the day. We have a range of surface cleaning & disinfectants to suit your needs, from high-level surface disinfectants to wipes and room foggers. Equipment using during dental procedures will need to be disposed of, or cleaned and sterilised, as necessary. Instruments should be cleaned and sterilised after use.
